Machining Engineer机加工工程师
Responsibilities:
• Support Lead Engineer in achieving program deliverables
• Lead APN/PN process
• Responsibility for design, runoff, delivery and launch of new/re-tooled equipment to support New Programs
• Resolve engineering and program delivery issues
• Support DPA process for assigned component/process
• Lead coordination of inter related items (material handling &kitting, workstation engineering, virtual assembly or manufacturing builds, back-up/hand tools, gauging, tooling)
• Request and ensure on time delivery of all OEM documentation (e.g. R&M, Spare Parts lists, Manuals, final Installation Drawing packages, PM Plans, ECPL Placards etc,)
• Lead development of process documentation (e.g. DCP, PFMEA, GSPAS, Process Sheets, Process Illustrations, tool set up drawings, etc...)
• Coordinate PROTAG sign-off
• Lead Machine Acceptance sign-off and issue resolution
• Interface with plant teams such as the launch team, NML, skilled trades and the groups responsible for maintenance planning and spare requisitioning
• Support product feasibility and releasing activities
• Learn and use a number of Ford systems such as FPS, Bill of Process, Six Sigma, ISO9002, to support MFG System,
• Continuous improvement Evaluate and initiate bids for equipment purchase Run-off equipment at supplier and plant to show capability and robustness including safety
• Understand/support/implement Lean Manufacturing principles
• Assure delivery of program productivity objective through R&M and process design including FMEAs
• Support other activities (plant engineering, process engineering, tooling & gauging, safety, productivity, forward planning, etc.)
Qualifications:
• Minimum Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering-Automotive, Engineering-Manufacturing, Engineering-Mechanical, Engineering-Other, Engineering-Production.
• 5+ years manufacturing experience, manufacturing plant experience preferred
Project/program experience desired
• Extensive manufacturing process knowledge preferably automotive
Solid understanding of GD&T, Blue print reading, Tolerance stack ups, CNC Programming, Fixture Design and process design
Exposure to Flexible CNC machining systems, Tooling and Quality systems.
• Process Discipline , Project Management Skills, Quality mindset
Strong Analytical Skills, Excellent Computer Skill
• Quality Systems, Autocad, problem solving techniques.
• Self Starter / Initiative
