SCOPE:
Contribute to new product development initiatives supporting Electric Oil Pump for automotive drivetrain. Work closely with customers, suppliers as well as internal technical resources; manage aspects of product requirements. Concentrate on Electric Oil Pump system requirements: system (Pump + Motor + Controller) integration, DFMEA, DVP&R testing, FEA / CFD analysis, CAD design etc. Contribute to the growth of the business by assisting in the continuous improvement effort of design, analysis, testing, calibrating through bench and vehicle integration.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
 Based on the customer requirements, work with all groups of the business to develop and produce Electric Oil Pump & system.
 Define and provide technical customer interface for application of Electric Oil Pump systems.
 Implement Motor design tools and calculation in design work.
 Support customer meetings to refine requirements and answer questions.
 Design system DFMEA for projects and work with customer to clarify requirements.
 Produce DVP&R on specific applications.
 Analyze & report technical data into reports & presentations & answering queries.
 Work with internal global organization to support development of Electric Oil Pump.
 Refine solutions with global engineering resources and expertise.
 Assist in design optimization for DFM, such as die-casting, manufacturability in powdered metal, stamping, plastic injection, machining and assembly process etc.
 Continuous development of the leading edge technology of pump.
 Work within WindChill PLM software environment to track designs and follow engineering procedures.
 Work in compliance with customers’ specific requirement, such as QSB of SGM, Formal Q of VW, etc.
 Work in compliance with Stackpole International Safety, Quality, Environmental and Production Systems.
QUALIFICATIONS:
 A bachelor or higher degree in Electrical Motor, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering related.
 3 years minimum professional experience with CAD software including CreO, Unigraphics, CATIA, Solidworks etc.
 Understanding of detailed part drawings and a strong knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerances (GD&T).
 Excellent practical experience of Motor applications
 Excellent knowledge and extensive experience of APQP, FMEA and DOE.
 Knowledge of an FEA / CFD software application would be a benefit (ANSYS, PumpLinx, Nastran, Maxwell etc.).
 Previous work with Windchill PLM software would be helpful but not needed.
 Familiar with mechatronics system and Electric Oil Pump, Electric Water Pump or other fluid applications would be better.
 Knowledge and experience in coordinating new product development.
 Understanding of automotive IATF16949 operating systems.
 Excellent communications, negotiating, conflict management, and problem solving skills.
 Good oral and written communication skills in English.
 Team player with “can do” attitude.
