abstrct
Vehicle benchmarking enabler automotive engineers to rank vehicles and develop criteria for target setting, prototype evaluation and acceptance this paper documents a comprehensive approach for vehicle squeak and rattle target setting. A variety of experimental techniques hove been employed and results from evaluations on several different vehicle classes are presented Experimental modal analysis has been used to evaluate the importance of vehicle and subsystem modal coupling before after and during durability testing. The results of vehicle static and dynamic laboratory tests, road load data acquisition (vibration and sound), and subjective evaluations ore also presented and discussed. |
