Position: Engineering Manager
Report to: Vice President
Location: Shanghai

In general, we are looking for a Shanghai-based Engineering Manager who has technical cognizance over every product the four Cooperative Joint Ventures(CJV), located in cities of Nantong, Tiantai, Ningbo and Guiyang, have in production. He must also have the ability to understand each process and some general knowledge as well plus the ability to discuss his observations and/or concerns with each CJV Engineers.

Responsibilities:
ü
As the engineering leader of the China company, the engineering manager is totally responsible for the smooth, clear and correct transfer of technology/ engineering requirement from the US company to the CJVs.
ü
Working closely with engineers of the company and engineering and related functional team of the CJVs to ensure that
A.
a designed product can be manufactured by the CJVs.
B.
a full and clear transfer of engineering data on the drawing from the company to the CJVs
ü
Selectively as needed participating in and directly weekly drawing review meetings held between the company and JV
ü
Helping in resolving technical issues for on-going production parts
ü
Assisting site managers in following up and executing the APQP
ü
Providing various reports to Vice President
ü
Promoting relationship with CJV partners
ü
Coaching and developing engineers at each CJVs

Qulification:
ü
A bachelor or higher degree in mechanical engineering and/or related field
ü
Over 5 years of experience in a similar position with a multinational company in automotive industry
ü
Have experience in a TS16949 environment
ü
Knowledge and experience in heat exchanger a big plus
ü
Familiar with manufacturing processes used to produce components
ü
Project management fundamentals, effective communication, and presentation skills
ü
Good human relations skills to develop a cooperative working relationship with others
ü
A strong team leader to lead a cross functional team
ü
Accountable for the result delivery
ü
Willing to travel domestically and internationally
ü
Good command of English skill, both oral and written
